Vigamax [ID] is a Nutra offer in the male potency category, available through WhoCPA for the Indonesia GEO.
Potency is one of those verticals where the product itself is only part of the equation. Audience age, how men perceive the issue, their willingness to see a doctor, and their habit of looking for solutions on their own all play an important role.
And Indonesia is a particularly interesting GEO in this regard.
143 million men
According to the 2025 Intercensal Population Survey by BPS, Indonesia has a population of:
284.67 million people
of whom:
143.64 million are men.
Looking at specific age groups:
40–49 — 20.29 million men
50–59 — 16.32 million
60–64 — 6.09 million
That means there are around 42.7 million men aged 40–64 alone.
The total male audience aged 40+ exceeds 52.9 million people. The calculation is based on BPS official five-year age groups.
For a potency offer, this is already a huge potential market.
After 40, the issue becomes much more relevant
One Indonesian study on erectile dysfunction included 255 men aged 20–80 from Jakarta. The internationally validated IIEF-5 questionnaire was used for assessment.
Overall, signs of ED were identified in 35.6% of respondents.
But the age breakdown is far more interesting:
20–29 — 6.5%
30–39 — 22.6%
40–49 — 53.8%
50–59 — 71.4%
60+ — 88%.
Among men aged 40+, the rate in this sample reached 68.7%. Researchers also found a statistical association between ED and age, hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular and kidney disease, prostate surgery, and interpersonal stress.
An important note: this was a study of 255 men from Jakarta, not national statistics for Indonesia. Therefore, these percentages should not be extrapolated to the entire population.
Still, the trend is very clear: potency-related issues become significantly more relevant after the age of 40.
And this audience also earns more
Interestingly, the core age group for a potency offer is also among the more financially capable segments of the working population.
According to BPS data for August 2025, the average monthly salary of an employee in Indonesia was IDR 3.33 million.
By age group:
40–44 — IDR 3.68 million
45–49 — IDR 3.84 million
50–54 — IDR 3.92 million
55–59 — IDR 3.82 million
The 50–54 age group had the highest average salary of all age categories. Among men of this age, the average monthly salary reached IDR 4.30 million.
So the age when the problem becomes more relevant also coincides with one of the peaks in the audience’s purchasing power.
78% of Indonesians use self-treatment
Here is one of the most interesting figures for the Nutra vertical.
According to the 2025 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas), 78.43% of Indonesia’s population practiced self-treatment during the previous month.
At the same time, among people who reported health complaints, only 39.64% sought outpatient medical care during the same period.
These two figures use different denominators, so they should not be directly compared or subtracted from one another.
But the overall behavioral pattern is clear: looking for ways to deal with health problems independently is a widespread practice in Indonesia.
For a sensitive male health issue, this factor becomes even more relevant.
Men are not eager to discuss potency with doctors
Sexual health remains a private subject for many Indonesian men.
A recent qualitative study involving 19 primary healthcare workers in Surabaya revealed an interesting pattern: healthcare professionals reported that they rarely encountered men who initiated conversations about erectile dysfunction themselves. At the same time, healthcare workers also generally did not bring up the subject during consultations.
This aligns well with behavior seen on local forums and in research on Indonesian audiences: when dealing with sensitive issues, men often look for anonymous experiences from other people, home-based methods, and simple solutions that do not require openly discussing the problem.
Jamu and “male strength”
There is another aspect of Indonesia that is difficult to ignore — Jamu, the traditional system of herbal remedies.
For male health, ingredients such as Pasak Bumi / Tongkat Ali, ginger, ginseng, Purwoceng, and other local plants are commonly used. Culturally, they have long been associated with stamina, energy, and “male strength.”
And this is more than just folklore.
A systematic review published in Heliyon in 2025 drew on ethnomedical studies covering 34 provinces and 405 ethnic groups across Indonesia.
These studies identified 204 plant species traditionally used for erectile dysfunction.
Among the most commonly reported:
ginger — used by 17 ethnic groups
Areca catechu — 14
Eurycoma longifolia / Tongkat Ali — 10
black pepper — 9
Purwoceng — 5.
This does not mean that all traditional remedies have proven clinical efficacy — the authors themselves emphasize the need for further research.
But from an audience perspective, the figures are very revealing: the search for natural products for male health has deep cultural roots in Indonesia.
What does this mean for Vigamax?
Affiliates are looking at a very large GEO:
143.64 million men
42.7 million men aged 40–64
78.43% of the population uses self-treatment
Add to this the sensitive nature of the problem, the reluctance of some men to openly discuss sexual health, and a long-established culture of looking for home-based and natural solutions.
In other words, the audience does not need the concept of a product for “male strength” explained to them — this category is already familiar.
The affiliate’s task is different: identify the right pain point, adapt the messaging to the local mindset, and offer the user a clear and private solution to the problem.
